Undergraduate Minor Programs

The Department offers three different undergraduate minors in Statistics. 

For each minor, the courses must be completed with at least a 2.5 GPA and no grade below a "C".

The undergraduate Statistics Minor requires 25 hours of study. The required courses are:

STAT 4013 Statistical Methods I
STAT 4023 Statistical Methods II
STAT 4043 Regression
STAT 4193 SAS and R Programming
STAT 4203 Mathematical Statistics I
and
MATH 2144 Calculus I
MATH 2153 Calculus II
MATH 2163 Calculus III


The undergraduate Applied Statistics Minor requires 15 hours of study. The required courses are:

STAT 4013 Statistical Methods I
STAT 4023 Statistical Methods II
STAT 4043 Regression
STAT 4193 SAS and R Programming
and one of the following:
STAT 4463 Multivariate Methods or STAT 5033 Non-parametric Methods or STAT 5053 Time Series Analysis


The undergraduate Statistical Data Science Minor requires 18 hours of study. The required courses are:

STAT 4013 Statistical Methods I
STAT 4023 Statistical Methods II
STAT 4043 Regression
STAT 4193 SAS and R Programming
MSIS 3103 End User Database Systems Design and Management
MSIS 3223 Operation Analytics
