Do you like science?  Then a career in statistics may be right for you!  Statistics is the "science" of science.  Statisticians work in marketing research, pharmaceutical industry, quality control, government, environmental sciences, actuarial sciences, and many other fields.  In each field, statisticians are the collectors, analyzers, and interpreters of data.  Florence Nightingale described statistics best with the following quote: 

...the most important science in the whole world: for upon it depends the practical application of every other science and of every art: the one science essential to all political and social administration, all education, all organization based on experience, for it only gives results of our experience.

The 2002 issue of Jobs Rated Almanac ranked statistician as the 9^th best job!  It also ranked statistician as the BEST job for work environment.
