The statistics faculty at Oklahoma State University offers courses that address both theoretical and applied statistics.  The department is large enough to offer students a variety of statistical specializations, but small enough to encourage close yet professional relationships between faculty and graduate students.

Students learn the HOW and WHY statistical methods are used.  In addition, students develop their own statistical methods and theory behind them.  Students receiving a degree in statistics from Oklahoma State University are wanted by industry and academia.  Graduates work at companies such as Aventis, Koch Industries, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory and academic institutions such as the University of Florida, Mississippi State University, and University of Nebraska-Omaha.
